We know, we know we promised a falafel recipe. We are aware. But we wanted to make sure this Wix blog was all good before we put up something more, complicated, shall we say. So here
is S's recipe for Box Mix Pancakes, but Upgrade.
Ingredients:
Vanilla Extract
Pancake mix
Butter (salted or unsalted, whatever you have)
Baking powder
Sugar
I am not giving measurements here, you will see why in a sec.
Recipe:
In a medium bowl, place however much pancake mix you are planning to use
For every two cups of pancake mix:
Add 1 tbs. of melted butter for flavor and fluff
Add 1 tbs. of sugar for flavor
Add 1tsp. of baking powder. This makes the pancake fluffier. Most box mixes have leaveners (like baking soda and baking powder). But adding a little more helps it rise. And sometimes when the box mix sits around the leaveners stop working as well. I based these ratios off Krusteaz box mix . You may have to use more or less baking powder depending on the brand you use, but these ratios are pretty safe.
Add 1 tbs. of vanilla extract (you can use almond extract and you can use less vanilla depending on your taste)
Mix it all together and make like normal!
We hope you enjoy this recipe. Let us know what modifications you made to this. You can always add toppings or adjust the ratios provided.
Cheers!
